You can’t change the world without optimism. That’s why we believe that a just world, free from poverty is possible. And it’s why we’ll keep fighting until it’s a reality. When people donate to Comic Relief or Sport Relief, they’re supporting vulnerable people and communities in the UK and internationally.
WHAT WE'VE ACHIEVED SO FAR
OVER £1BN RAISED AND INVESTED
Since 1985 we've raised and invested over £1,000,000,000. This has been used to tackle poverty and injustice all over the world.
90 MILLION LIVES IMPROVED
Since our first appeal over 20 years ago we've helped improve the lives of over 90m people across the world.
OUR CORE ISSUES
PROMOTING POSITIVE MENTAL HEALTH
Mental Health has been a priority for Comic Relief’s funding in the UK for over ten years we have invested in therapeutic services, services for young people, campaigning and policy change work, anti-stigma and discrimination work and maternal mental health.
HELPING CHILDREN TO SURVIVE AND THRIVE
Every year, millions of children die before their fifth birthday, or grow up in poverty and neglect. So we're helping child after child survive and grow.
A SAFE PLACE TO BE
1 in 5 people around the world don't have adequate shelter. Day by day, person by person we're working to ensure people have a safe place to call home.
NO FEAR, VIOLENCE OR DISCRIMINATION
The idea that some of us are worth less because of our gender leads to real violence, abuse and discrimination. So we're working for a world with less judgement and fear where people can take control of their lives.
We're led by a dedicated, knowledgeable board of trustees. They, alongside a number of board committees, steer our CEO and team of directors who lead Comic Relief’s employees in carrying out the day-to-day activities of the organisation.
In addition, and free from a governance role, are our founder, honorary life presidents and honorary trustees, who use their extensive creativity and experience to support Comic Relief.
